CEDICE Libertad, the winner of the First Edition of Global Money Week, brings this year innovative means to raise awareness about the good use of money and its implications in a more prosperous society, healthy and that fights for the elimination of poverty.

Therefore we will have university students who will visit schools, organizations, the media and make web communications, with educational examples such as games, children's literature, dramatizations, songs and entrepreneurship. All this to define the three functions of money, its origin and desired characteristics, the relationship between saving and investment, the implications of solidarity in the use of money, the origin of banking and the current functions of banks, the capacity of Progress through linkages with financial institutions, economic citizenship through ethics and economic duties and rights.

This way, we plan to reach more than 2000 children and young people in person, without counting the virtual channels and the media. All of this thanks to our partners, including the University of Carabobo, Universidad Central de Venezuela, Andrés Bello Catholic University and Monte Ávila University, among others.

It should be noted that among young people we will have a high level discussion with the renowned economist Martín Krause

There is also a visit to companies and simulations with the intention of strengthening the desire of young people for a society with greater progress and access for all in terms of developing the potential of each person hand in hand with solidarity.

For the 2nd year in a row Centro de Divulgación del Conocimiento Económico para la Libertad (CEDICE Libertad), through its program Economy for Youth, is joining Global Money Week with very exciting and innovative initiatives. The start of Global Money Week coincided with Civic Monday in Venezuela. So organizing partners planned for a Civic Global Money Week Monday where kids identified how saving money and learning more about finance is related to exercising their citizenship. Children and youth wrote down their dreams in order to make them think about the future and how they can create sustainable livelihoods for themselves. This year CEDICE-Libertad prepared a series of videos to explain economic concepts in an easy and friendly way to children and youth. Discussion topics included the importance of saving, how savings and development are related. Volunteers from the program Economy for Youth also put together a series of informative videos on these topics. Youth from the CEDICE-Libertad Economy for Youth program were invited by a radio station to discuss youth finance and national policies involving youth.
