To celebrate European Money Week, partner of Global Money Week, the Andorran Banking participated in the European Money Quiz. The Ministry of Education and Higher Education and Andorran Banking are working together to promote financial education in schools and to offer various training activities, aimed at students of different educational levels. This decision was taken following the recommendations of the OECD to improve the financial knowledge of young people. The different activities that are being taken include the preparation of a training plan, which is expected to be included in the compulsory education, in which Andorran Banking offers advice on teaching materials, which can then consequently be taught by professionals in the financial sector in schools. Currently, Andorran Banking is collaborating with the University of Andorra to implement the training plan. The training plan aims to provide citizens with the skills necessary to manage their income and expenses, to prevent debt and financial exclusion. The plan focuses on subjects such as mathematics, technology and entrepreneurship.
